Dodger Coaming: Final Fitting

  • Feb. 13th, 2007 at 6:09 PM
Galena Underway
For the first time in weeks, we have nice weather (45° F). So I ran down to the marina to check the fitting of the dodger coaming to Galena's cabin top. Not too bad. I found that I had let the ends spread out a little much. I'll have to pull the two ends together about 3" before I apply any more fiberglass. Other than that it fits well enough.

Once it's got a few more coats of glass and gets painted to match the deck it should look all right.

I also took some more measurements and drew some templates for the side cloths (they have a name, I just can't think of it right now) that I'll build from the old bimini top.

Ice?
Is that ice floating on the water in the back ground?

Re: Ice?
Yes, it is. Isn't that terrible? Galena was shivering in her slip. She's not use to this cold weather. She and I both want to head south again.
